Company of Fools' (COF) 23rd theatre season continues in late August with the production of Heisenberg, a sharply original play directed by COF founding member Denise Simone and written by the visionary playwright Simon Stephens, winner of the 2015 Tony Award for Best New Play for his dramatic adaptation of Mark Haddon's novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. COF's production of Heisenberg will open Tuesday, Aug. 28, and runs through Saturday, Sept. 9, at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey.

The National Theatre of Great Britain's Olivier and Tony Award®-winning production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME has opened in Brisbane (playing until 24 June) as part of an Australian tour including Canberra from 27 June, Sydney from 4 July, Adelaide from 31 July and Perth from 8 August. The tour comes after an acclaimed sell-out debut season in Melbourne earlier in the year and an Asian tour.
Steppenwolf Theatre Company's world-renowned ensemble was joined by more than 675 civic, cultural and business leaders for the 2018 Gala on Saturday, May 12, 2018, raising over $1.3 million for Steppenwolf's artistic, educational and community programming. Attendees celebrated 42 seasons of groundbreaking ensemble theatre with an evening of festivity emceed by actor Rainn Wilson, well-known for his role as "Dwight Schrute" on NBC's award-winning comedy, The Office and currently starring in The Doppelganger (an international farce) at Steppenwolf. Comedian, actor, director and producer Chris Rock, who starred in the world premiere Broadway production of The Motherf**ker with the Hat directed by Steppenwolf Artistic Director Anna D. Shapiro, joined as the guest auctioneer alongside Christie's Robbie Gordy.
The National Theatre of Great Britain's Olivier and Tony Award-winning production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME will tour Australia for the first time from June 2018. Due to popular demand an extra week has been added to the Sydney season with the production now playing until Saturday 28 July. In this additional week there will be special midweek matinee performances on Wednesday 25 July and Thursday 26 July at 1pm.

This includes director Marianne Elliot's production of "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time" (originally recorded in 2012) in U.S. cinemas on Tuesday, June 12 and director Danny Boyle's 2011 staging of "Frankenstein" presented in cinemas in two versions on Monday, October 22 with Benedict Cumberbatch as Creature and on Monday, October 29 with Jonny Lee Miller as Creature. The events were captured live from the National Theatre in London during their original runs.
