The Walnut Street Theatre continues its landmark 201st season with a masterful new staging of Lionel Bart's OLIVER!

Milwaukee Repertory Theater's Board of Trustees today announced that internationally acclaimed director Mark Clements will become the company's next Artistic Director. Clements has directed at more than 100 major theaters in the United States and Europe, including productions in London's West End, 11 seasons as the Artistic Director of Derby Playhouse in the United Kingdom, and six seasons as Associate Artistic Director for Moving Theatre Company, founded by Vanessa and Corin Redgrave. In the U.S., his work has been seen at New York's Roundabout Theatre and Classic Stage Company; and at Philadelphia's Walnut Street Theatre. Clements, who is currently directing OLIVER! at Walnut Street Theatre, will begin his debut season with The Rep in the fall of 2010.

Walnut Street Theatre is proud to make its first casting announcement regarding its upcoming 2009 production of Oliver! Philadelphia native, Broadway vet and Barrymore Award-winning actor Hugh Panaro will return as the charmingly villainous Fagin in this all new version of Lionel Bart's beloved musical.

Barrymore Award-winning and Broadway favorite Hugh Panaro is set to star as Fagin in Walnut Street Theatre's production of Oliver!, to run November 10th, 2009 through January 10th, 2010.

The following nominees were announced at the Annual Barrymore Awards Press Conference on August 6. Award recipients will be announced at the 2008 Barrymore Awards Ceremony on Monday, October 6.
