The Guthrie Theater previously announced additional performances for its production of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize and 2012 Tony Award winner Clybourne Park-a powerhouse contemporary satire about race and gentrification during the past half century in America written by Bruce Norris. The additional performances are today, July 28 at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 4 at 1:00 p.m.

The Guthrie Theater today announced additional performances for its production of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize and 2012 Tony Award winner Clybourne Park-a powerhouse contemporary satire about race and gentrification during the past half century in America written by Bruce Norris. The additional performances are Sunday, July 28 at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 4 at 1:00 p.m. Penned in response to Lorraine Hansberry's classic A Raisin in the Sun, Clybourne Park has sparked conversation and dialogue across America wherever it has played. Lisa Peterson(Guthrie: Major Barbara, Oedipus) directs this biting American story at the Guthrie after last year's lauded production of Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

The Guthrie Opens AN ILIAD Tonight

Tonight is opening night at the Guthrie for An Iliad, the single-actor storytelling adaptation of Homer's Greek classic about the siege of Troy, featuring Stephen Yoakam (more than 75 Guthrie productions including a lauded turn as Bertolt Brecht in 2012's Tales from Hollywood and as Creon in 2011's The Burial at Thebes) as The Poet and directed by Benjamin McGovern (The Edge of Our Bodies, Circle Mirror Transformation). An Iliad is written by Lisa Peterson (director of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Guthrie in 2012, as well as the upcoming production of Clybourne Parkopening in June) and Denis O'Hare from a translation of Homer by Robert Fagles.

Actors Theatre of Louisville Adds Performance to GIRLFRIEND, 2/17

Audiences and critics are in love with Girlfriend and in response, Actors Theatre of Louisville will be adding an additional performance at 2.30 p.m.on Sunday, February 17. Actors Theatre of Louisville Announce Cast and Creative Team for GIRLFRIEND

Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein are pleased to announce the cast and creative team for Girlfriend. This irresistible rock musical begins previews January 29 and 30, opens January 31 and runs through February 17. Girlfriend, with book by Todd Almond and music and lyrics by Matthew Sweet, will be directed by Les Waters and run for three weeks in the Pamela Brown Auditorium at Actors Theatre of Louisville as part of the Brown-Forman Series.

Women's Project Theater's BETHANY, Starring America Ferrera, Begins Rehearsals

America Ferrera, joined by cast members Emily Ackerman, Kristin Griffith, Ken Marks, Tobias Segal and Myra Lucretia Taylor, begins rehearsals today for Women's Project Theater's world premiere dark comedy Bethany by Laura Marks. Directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, Ms. Ferrera stars as a financially-strapped woman who discovers just how far she'll go to regain what she has lost.
