In the gripping film, Lowe portrays Jeff Ashton, the Florida prosecutor in last year's controversial Caylee Anthony murder trial, and author (with Lisa Pulitzer) of the best-selling book Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony, upon which the movie is based.
