El musical familiar de Broadway "Eres bueno, Charlie Brown", llega a Lima gracias ED PRODUCCIONES y se presenta desde el sabado 6 de Abril en el Teatro Mario Vargas Llosa de la Biblioteca Nacional del Peru en San Borja.

The League of Professional Theatre Women (Kelli Lynn Harrison and Catherine Porter, Co-Presidents), an organization which has been leading the gender parity conversation and championing women in the professional theatre for over 35 years, will present the 2019 Theatre Women Awards at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street, New York, NY 10012) on Monday, March 25 at 7pm (doors open at 6:30pm). National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, announces the continuation of its 80th Rolling World Premiere (RWP) production. Red Bike by Caridad Svich opens at The Wilbury Theatre Group (Providence, R.I.) on February 21 and runs through March 3. Other Partner Theatres for this RWP were Simpatico Theatre (Philadelphia), PYGmalion Productions (Salt Lake City), and Know Theatre of Cincinnati. Red Bike was presented at NNPN's 2017 National Showcase of New Plays, hosted by Orlando Shakespeare Theatre.

King of Cuba, a new comedy by award-winning writer Cristina Garcia, has extended through August 26th at the historic Berkeley City Club (originally scheduled to close August 19). In King of Cuba, two aging Cubanos hilariously have a go at each other. Opening night Marga was described as 'dethroning machismo,' while the house erupted as El Comandante (Marga Gomez) remarked "Nobody has bigger cojones than I do." The night then roiled with laughter as the two silver haired Cubanos 'knock each other down' verbally and otherwise.

The summer adventure of the Central Works 2018 season King of Cuba, is developed by Ms. Garcia in the Central Works Writers Workshop featuring the lesbian-gender-bending comedian Marga Gomez, and the Grammy-winning "bongocero" Carlos Caro. All are Cubanx celebrities living in the Bay Area. Directed by Gary Graves, the full cast includes Marco Aponte, Leticia Duarte, Elena Garrity, Marga Gomez, Ben Ortega and Steve Ortiz.

The Roll, which started at PYGmalion Productions (April 20-May 5 in Salt Lake City), will continue to Know Theatre of Cincinnati (January 11-February 2, 2019), and The Wilbury Theatre Group (April 11-21, 2019 in Providence). Red Bike was presented at NNPN's 2017 National Showcase of New Plays, hosted by Orlando Shakespeare Theatre.
