Eagle Theatre continues their fifth year of presenting Stand-Up Comedy with their next installment on August 18th at 7:00PM & 9:30PM.

Magic Theatre (Loretta Greco, Artistic Director and Jaimie Mayer, Managing Director) announced today the complete cast of Ashlin Halfnight's World Premiere The Resting Place, the first production of the 2018- 2019 season. The Resting Place will be directed by Jessica Holt. Previews begin onWednesday, October 10, 2018 at Magic Theatre's Fort Mason location, with a press opening on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are on-sale now.

On the 20th anniversary of its historic relocation to Grand Avenue, a move made possible through the generosity and vision of founding benefactor Richard D Colburn, that helped set in motion the development of Los Angeles's Downtown cultural corridor, the Colburn School will present a 2018-2019 season that brings together some of today's greatest international artists with extraordinary faculty members and exceptional Colburn School students.

Powerhouse international conductor Valery Gergiev will conduct the Mariinsky Orchestra from St. Petersburg and the San Diego Symphony Orchestra on Wednesday, October 24 at 8 p.m., at the Jacobs Music Center's Copley Symphony Hall. The rare concert will feature the Mariinsky Orchestra performing Glinka's Russlan and Ludmilla; the San Diego Symphony performing Borodin's In the Steppes of Central Asia; and Maestro Gergiev will conduct the combined orchestras performing together Shostakovich's Symphony No. 7 Leningrad.

ION Media today announced a long-term content deal with NBCUniversal Television Distribution to bring the top-rated drama 'Chicago P.D.' to its flagship network, ION Television. From Dick Wolf's highly successful 'Chicago' franchise, the series is a top-10 drama on broadcast television in A25-54 and A18-49 and is the #1 series in its time period (Wed/10p) in all key demos this season.i The agreement gives ION seasons 1-5 (106 episodes) of 'Chicago P.D.,' which will make its network debut in early 2019, plus the option for future seasons.

On August 4, 2018, conductor Kahchun Wong will lead the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra in the final concert of the 2018 Klassik Open Air series in Nuremberg, Germany. The concert, which also marks Wong's Klassik Open Air debut, comes in advance of his first season as Chief Conductor of the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, beginning the following month. Kahchun Wong makes his New York conducting debut and his New York Philharmonic debut leading that orchestra's annual Lunar New Year concert in February 2019.

It was inevitable, perhaps, that our post-truth politics would seep into 21st century absurdist theater. One sunny example is 'Occasionally Nothing' by Natalie Menna, which takes us to a dismal time-to-come when something can become a profound, obvious nothing. Life becomes the time in between the sometimes which sometimes happen. The piece won awards in Planet Connections Festivity for developmental staging's, with critics cheering the playwright for her mastery of Theater of the Absurd. IFC today announced that acclaimed actress Cate Blanchett (Blue Jasmine, Carol) will guest star in an upcoming episode of Documentary Now!. In the previously announced episode 'Waiting for the Artist,' Blanchett stars as a world-renowned performance artist who feels pressured to put on the show of her life. Created by Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Seth Meyers and Rhys Thomas and executive produced by Lorne Michaels, the Emmy(R)-nominated DOCUMENTARY NOW! is known for lovingly paying homage to the world of documentaries. Season 52 is set to premiere Wednesday, February 20 at 10PM with seven all-new episodes airing only on IFC.

Get ready to "Be Our Guest" as The Performing Arts School at bergenPAC (PAS) presents Disney's Beauty and The Beast, through special arrangement with Music Theatre International. Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced final casting for A Doll's House, Part 2, written by Lucas Hnath and directed by Les Waters, which begins previews on Thursday, September 6 and runs through Sunday, October 21. Working With Children is a brand new work written, directed and performed by award-winning theatre maker Nicola Gunn (Piece for Person and Ghetto Blaster, Green Screen) that looks at the ethical complexities of working with children in an emotionally evocative and technologically inventive solo performance opening on Saturday 1 September at Southbank Theatre, The Lawler.
