The Warner Theatre is excited to announce its 2016-17 Met Opera: Live in HD Season, featuring 10 operas, 5 new to the series, and 2 encores, streaming live from the Met. A complimentary pre-opera lecture will be offered to all ticketholders in the Nancy Marine Studio Lobby for 45 minutes of pre-opera information and entertainment, 2 hours before broadcast. Presenting a searing story of self-discovery, FST brings The God Of Isaac to the Gompertz stage to complete the 2016 Summer Mainstage Season. Written by James Sherman, this courageous and challenging journey of one man in search of answers runs from August 3 through August 21 in the Gompertz Theatre. Lewiston's Public Theatre's closing play of the 2015-2016 season, Susan Sandler's Crossing Delancey is the perfect Mother's Day offering, projecting cozy warmth and fond memories of an unforgettable Jewish grandmother. The 1985 play, which takes a bemused look at the clash between traditional Jewish- American immigrant culture and the more modern aspirations of the next generations, serves up a quintet of characters one cannot fail to embrace

The Metropolitan Opera's 2016-17 season, the 50th anniversary of its home at Lincoln Center, will feature 225 opera performances of 26 operas in a varied repertory that ranges from 18th century masterpieces to one of the most acclaimed operas in recent years. Repertoire for the company's 132nd season will include the Met premiere of Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho's 2000 opera L'Amour de Loin, as well as new stagings of Wagner's Tristan und Isolde, Rossini's Guillaume Tell, Gounod's Romeo et Juliette, Dvo?ak's Rusalka, and Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier. A gala concert on May 7, 2017 will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company's Lincoln Center location with performances by opera's leading stars honoring the Met's past and future. Ticket prices will not increase, remaining the same as in the current season, and audience development programs instituted by the company in recent years will continue.  

Riverside Theatre, led by Producing Artistic Director/CEO Allen D. Cornell and Managing Director/COO Jon R. Moses, present the uproarious comedy, Over The River and Through The Woods playing the Stark Stage from February 2 - 21, 2016. CVRep's new production of LA GRINGA is brilliantly acted and brilliantly directed. The set design and other technical aspects of the production are also superb. However, Carmen Rivera's script is mediocre, because this 'comedy' is not funny.

Too much mishegas makes for a muddled tale of midlife meltdown in Charles Busch's first venture into mainstream comedy now at Boston's Lyric Stage through December 20.

The Lyric Stage Company of Boston's 2014-15 Season continues with THE TALE OF THE ALLERGIST'S WIFE by Charles Busch. Directed by Larry Coen, the production will run tonight, November 21 - December 20, 2014. Press opening: November 23, 3pm.
