A rare original TV musical comes to DVD at last!

The Playwrights Foundation's 38th Annual Bay Area Playwrights Festival (BAPF) kicks off today, July 17, where it runs through July 26, 2015 at the Tides Theatre in San Francisco.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents the Chicago premiere production of Grand Concourse, a play full of both humor and heart by Heidi Schreck. Directed by ensemble member Yasen Peyankov, the cast features ensemble members Francis Guinan and Tim Hopper sharing the role of Frog and Mariann Mayberry as Shelley with Brittany Uomoleale as Emma andVictor Almanzar as Oscar.

Following a sold-out run of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro in June 2015, Wolf Trap Opera continues the Figaro storyline with the Washington, D.C. premiere of acclaimed composer John Corigliano and librettist William M. The Old Globe presents William Shakespeare's delightful and romantic Twelfth Night, directed by Rebecca Taichman, whose production of the time-traveling Time and the Conways fascinated audiences last April, as part of the 2015 Summer Shakespeare Festival. The Old Globe engagement runs through July 26, 2015, with opening night tonight, June 27 at 8:00 p.m., in the Lowell Davies Festival Theatre.

Soho Rep., in association with John Adrian Selzer, recently extended the world premiere of 10 out of 12 by Anne Washburn (Mr. Burns) to July 11. The production, which opens tonight, June 10, reunites the playwright with the Obie Award-winning director Les Waters, Artistic Director at Actors Theatre of Louisville. Based on notes Washburn took during her past technical rehearsals, this Soho Rep. commission is a wry and absorbing look at how work forms us and deforms us.

Houston Ballet Artistic Director Stanton Welch was awarded the Order of Australia for his contributions to the world of dance. The award recognizes his significant service to the performing arts as a ballet dancer, mentor, choreographer and artistic director. The prestigious Order of Australia Award, established in 1975, is bestowed on Australian citizens for meritorious service in a particular area or field of activity.

The complete cast and creative team have been announced for The Old Globe production of William Shakespeare's delightful and romantic Twelfth Night.
