Lucy Black, Timothy Carlton, Simon Chandler, Richard Clifford, Oliver Coopersmith, Niamh Cusack, Rory Fleck-Byrne, Freddie Fox, Jenny Galloway, Patrick Godfrey, Nicholas Jones, Tommy McDonnell, Lucy Robinson, Tristan Shepherd, Richard Teverson, Sarah Waddell, Michael Webber and Tristram Wymark will join the previously announced Anne-Marie Duff in Terence Rattigan's final play, Cause Celebre, opening for previews on 17 March with a press night on 29 March 2011.

Dallas Opera Announces Season Of 'Tragic Obsessions'

The Dallas Opera is pleased to announce the five darkly dazzling operas that comprise the company's 2011-12 season in the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House at the AT&T Performing Arts Center. With opening night on Friday, October 21, 2011, the 55th international season - "Tragic Obsessions" - will showcase compelling works by Donizetti, Janacek, Wagner, Verdi and Mozart, and will include an outstanding Dallas opera-in-concert, important debuts and some of the company's most renowned productions. Each opera will feature the superbly talented Dallas Opera Orchestra and Dallas Opera Chorus and will be performed in its original language, with English translations projected above the stage at every performance. Exclusive subscriber extras include "A Cabaret Evening with Patricia Racette" and a fun-filled family concert starring soprano Ava Pine and the Dallas Opera Orchestra.

Ellen Stewart's Memorial Service Announced, 1/17

Ellen Stewart, the legendary Founder and Director of the La MaMa E.T.C. -- the theatre that began in October 1961, and to this day continues to be of great importance to world culture - died on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Beth Israel Hospital in Manhattan. Ms. Stewart died of natural causes after an extended illness, according to Mia Yoo, co-artistic director of La MaMa, E.T. C. (Experimental Theatre Club). Born November 7, 1919 in Chicago, Ms. Stewart was 91 at the time of her death.

Burning Coal Theatre Company, a small professional theatre based in Raleigh, North Carolina announces its upcoming production of Crowns by Regina Taylor, directed by Rebecca Holderness. The production will run December 2 - 19, 2010 at the Murphey School, 224 Polk Street, Raleigh. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 or $15 for students, seniors and active military. Thursday night tickets are $10 apiece. Student rush tickets are available at every performance for $5 apiece, availability pending.
