The Community Playhouse of Lancaster County, Lancaster's community theatre, is seeking 4 men, 3 women, 1 teen male, and 2 teen females for its' upcoming production of THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK.

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today that producer Scott Rudin will receive the 2011 David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Motion Pictures. The award will be presented to Rudin at the 22nd Annual Producers Guild Awards ceremony on Saturday, January 22nd at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

This Tuesday, November 16, at the New 42nd Street Studios, a new musical, Shoot the Piano Player, will be presented in two readings.

Through a relationship with the Tennessee Holocaust Commission and Belmont University, Nashville Ballet will present a new ballet for adolescent, teen and adult audiences inspired by the historic book Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl.

Tom Viola, Executive Director of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA), will also be honored with the Joan Warburg Humanitarian Award for his leadership and advocacy in the fight against AIDS. Kelsey Grammer and Patti LuPone will entertain as Angela Lansbury, Marian Seldes, Elizabeth Wilson, Campbell Scott, Dana Ivey, Shubert's Philip Smith and Robert Wankel, Jujamcyn's Paul Libin, Equity's Nick Wyman, The Actors Fund's Joe Benecasa and The Broadway League's Charlotte St. Martin join the salute.

Burning Coal Theatre Company, a small professional theatre based in Raleigh, North Carolina announces its upcoming production of Crowns by Regina Taylor, directed by Rebecca Holderness. The production will run December 2 - 19, 2010 at the Murphey School, 224 Polk Street, Raleigh. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 or $15 for students, seniors and active military. Thursday night tickets are $10 apiece. Student rush tickets are available at every performance for $5 apiece, availability pending.
