JUNIE B. JONES Opens Friday at Stages Theatre Company

Come sneak a peek into the 'Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal' of the sassy and lovable Junie B. Jones! This delightful, fun-filled musical kicks off our season just as school kicks off this fall. No one believes in herself quite like Junie B! Join her as she takes on best pal problems, new kids on the bus, trouble reading the blackboard, a friendly cafeteria lady and a kickball tournament. Based on four of Barbara Park's best-selling books, this charming musical will capture your heart just as the book series has captivated readers for over two decades!

Theatre for Young America's 2015-16 Season to Feature SKIPPYJON JONES, JUNIE B. JONES & More

Beginning its 42nd season, Theatre for Young America is offering an varied season of plays:: two Kansas City premieres; a world premiere; some traditional favorites; and a Halloween night-time presentation. The 2015-16 season begins with a Siamese cat's imaginative excursion to Mexico, and ends with a boy's magical encounter with a giant. Six of the presentations are based directly upon children's literature. The season runs from October 13, 2015 through June 24, 2016. All productions will be presented on the H&R Block City Stage, located on level B in Union Station Kansas City. Union Station is located at 30 West Pershing Road, Kansas City, Missouri.

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Below, BroadwayWorld brings you some cabaret highlights for this week as picked by our theatre editors, including: The Doo Wop Project; Ciara Renee: Givin 'Em What They Love!; 54 Sings Back to the Future; The Other Direction: In Concert!; and 54 Sings Streep: The Music and The Meryl.

BWW Interviews: Scott Coulter on SF Symphony, James Bond and More

Singer Scott Coulter joins Sheena Easton at the San Francisco Symphony July 23 for a concert of favorite Spy film music. The concert will include both instrumental-only and vocal-accompanied hits from James Bond, Austin Powers and more. Other summer film-themed concerts this month include the new Star Trek film and Back to the Future July 16 - 20. Coulter talks about his cabaret career and what to expect from The Spy Who Loved Me concert in our interview.

Stephanie J. Block, Jennifer Damiano & More Join WOMEN OF NOTE NYMF Concert Lineup

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) is proud to announce the performer lineup for Women of Note, a one-night-only concert event celebrating the women writers who are changing the landscape of musical theatre. Women of Note will take place at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W. 42nd St.) on Monday, July 20 at 8:00 pm. Tickets are available now at www.nymf.org/tickets.

Playhouse on Park Now Casting for Season 7

Award-winning professional theatre Playhouse on Park is now casting for its upcoming seventh season. Local auditions will be held at the Playhouse on August 30th and 31st, and NYC auditions will be held on July 10th and 11th.
