RAICES' Voces Latinas reading series will continue on March 17th, 2013 with La Luz De Un Cigarillo: A Dominican-York Play, written by Latino playwright Marco Antonio Rodriguez and directed by WNY actor Rolando Martin Gomez. The reading will be at 6 PM at the Road Less Traveled Theater. Reading will starr Mariana Cole-Rivera, Smirna Mercedes-Perez, Victoria Perez, Josue Rosario-Caliz, and narrated by Ingrid Cordova.
The Off-Broadway hit, Ashes Of Light (la luz de un cigarrillo), written by Marco Antonio Rodriguez and winner of 5 HOLA and 4 ACE awards in New York has been published in a brand new English translation by NoPassport press.
