Review - I Love My Wife: There's No Place Like Home

One of the many reasons I've been a fan of the Opening Doors Theatre Company since their debut production of Bring Back Birdie two-and-a-half years ago is the consistent ability of their directors and choreographers to have as many as a dozen actors singing and dancing on the small cabaret stage of The Duplex (already occupied by a piano) without ever looking crowded. But that's not a concern with their newest venture, the hilarious and tuneful Cy Coleman/Michael Stewart 1977 musical, I Love My Wife.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) presents the first new Broadway production of Bye Bye Birdie, after a 48 year absence, as the inaugural production of the new Henry Miller's Theatre (124 West 43rd Street) beginning Thursday, September 10th, 2009 with an official opening on Thursday, October 15th, 2009. This will be a limited engagement through January 10th, 2010.

added 'Hairspray' star Nikki Blonsky to their list of guest artists who will participate in it's 'CAMP NYC' program. 'CAMP NYC' will take place in New York City August 17-21.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning romantic comedy, TALLEY'S FOLLY, is on stage at the Saint Michael's Playhouse, Tuesday, June 30 through Saturday, July 11, directed by Broadway veteran, Kenneth Kimmins. The smash hit Off-Broadway musical,' Dames at Sea opens the Saint Michael's Playhouse summer 2009 season Tuesday, June 16, and runs through June 27, starring Broadway musical talent top to bottom. Tickets for the show are discounted 20% through the run of the show if bought as part of a four-play season subscription.
