Sheffield Theatres' Artistic Director Daniel Evans today announces the full cast of their production of Marc Camoletti's Boeing Boeing, as the company begins rehearsals.

Show dates are April 24-26, May 1-3, 9,10 at 7:30pm and May 4 at 2pm. Tickets are just $10 in advance and $12 at the door and online. Tickets may be reserved by calling the Depot at 334-868-1440 or by visiting the theatre's website at www.wetumpkadepot.com. The Depot Theatre is located at 300 S Main St in historic downtown Wetumpka.

A Yorkshire airport has teamed up with Sheffield Theatres to promote a new aviation themed play which is set to take centre stage this May.

Starting off the Main Stage season in May of 2014 is the rock musical JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, running May 8 through 24. This rock opera with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice is a thought-provoking and emotional dramatization of Christ's final days. When BOEING BOEING first landed on Broadway in 1965, it only ran for 23 performances. However, in 2008 the French Comedy, penned by Marc Camoletti and translated by Beverley Cross and Francis Evans, was revised and re-opened on Broadway. This version fared much better, garnering positive reviews. Playhouse 1960 is producing the reworked script and showing audiences why this play is a favorite of audiences and theatre companies alike.

Marc Camoletti's 1960 play BOEING BOEING was translated into English by Beverly Cross. The comedic piece found success in London, running for seven years in its original production, but it failed to capture American audiences. In 1991, it was named in the Guinness Book of Records as the most performed French play throughout the world, and The Texas Repertory Theatre's sprightly production certainly indicates why it is so endearing.

The Utah Shakespeare Festival recently announced the casting of the first nine actors for the 2014 season. All are familiar faces, having appeared at the Festival in the past. Actors slated to appear thus far are Henry Woronicz, Aaron Galligan-Stierle, Sara J. Griffin, Steve Wojtas, Roderick Peeples, Melinda Pfundstein, Quinn Mattfeld, Grant Goodman, and Brian Vaughn.
