Perseverance Theatre (PT) ends the season with Seven Homeless Mammoths Wander New England, written by Madeleine George. Seven Homeless Mammoths Wander New England runs on the Perseverance Theatre Mainstage May 1 - May 24, 2015. Kansas City Repertory Theatre continues its 50th anniversary season with Sticky Traps, a powerful new play by KC Rep's Playwright in Residence, Nathan Louis Jackson, Directed by Resident Director, Kyle Hatley. Sticky Traps focuses on a small town not far from Kansas City, where a mother protects her gay son's honor when his funeral is protested by a local church. Her actions have unintended consequences that will test her whole family - and the power of their love -- in the face of hate. The production begins tonight, April 24th and runs through Sunday, May 24th at Copaken Stage in downtown Kansas City.

The Michael Grandage Company today announce the UK premiere of Anna Ziegler's Photograph 51, with Academy award-winning actress Nicole Kidman as Rosalind Franklin.

Katherine Owens, Artistic Director of Undermain Theatre has released the season line-up for 2015-16 saying,  "We are now in our in 32nd year of exploring new writing and revisiting seminal modern works at the Undermain Theatre. Next season we will present a powerful season of premieres, monumental drama, and cutting edge performance with four mainstage productions, each a portrait of a family, bound by blood or by circumstance, confronting the forces of darkness. Two world-premieres bookend a regional premiere of one of the contemporary stage's leading theatrical voices and a masterwork of modern drama by a man some call the father of the American Theater."

In Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, which will mark the Wilma's 11th production of a work by Tom Stoppard, minor characters take center stage as they journey on a boat taking Prince Hamlet to England with players from the royal court. As these characters unknowingly sail to a fate Shakespeare has already scripted for them, arguments of free will and determinism abound, all set to the constant travel game of flipping coins. In this battle of wits, Stoppard's characteristic wordplay and case of mistaken identities create a spectacle that's philosophical, clownish, and complete with a pirate-ambush.

Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of Heisenberg, the new play by two-time Olivier Award winner Simon Stephens (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Punk Rock), directed by Drama Desk Award winner Mark Brokaw (The Lyons, How I Learned to Drive) starring Denis Arndt (The Night Alive at Geffen Playhouse, "The Practice") and Tony and Emmy Award winner Mary-Louise Parker (Proof, "Weeds") begins rehearsals Thursday.

There's a full house of sexy talent holding court over at Studio Theatre these days, and it's not limited to the four actors starring in Murder Ballad, an immersive work of theater being given an impressive DC production through June (the show was produced Off Broadway by the Manhattan Theatre Club in 2012). Credit must first be given to Director David Muse, and the creative team that has transformed Stage 4 at Studio's 14th St. venue into what feels remarkably like a rock music club that's been around for decades, and surrounds you with the music and story.

Tonight, April 18, 2015 at 9:30PM, vocalist, songwriter and actress Bridget Barkan shines a light on the community of strangers that inspires her music and art with her new alt-cabaret variety show Dear Stranger, I Love You at Joe's Pub at The Public (425 Lafayette, NYC).

Delaware Theatre Company opened the new musical, BECAUSE OF WINN-DIXIE, on April 8th,with Book and Lyrics by Nell Benjamin (Broadway's LEGALLY BLONDE: the musical), Music by Duncan Sheik (Broadway's SPRING AWAKENING), and directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Broadway's RAGTIME). It has now extended its run at DTC through May 10th.

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, presents the world premiere of Shining Lives: A Musical. Directed by Jessica Thebus and developed through Northlight's Interplay Series, the musical is adapted from the Northlight-commissioned play These Shining Lives. The production will run at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie, from May 8 - June 14, 2015. Shining Lives: A Musical opens May 15 and 16, 2015.

New York City Center will present the New York premiere of Sequence 8, the internationally celebrated nouveau cirque spectacular by Les 7 Doigts de la Main (The 7 Fingers), from April 16-26, 2015.

Geva Theatre Center presents Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike - Christopher Durang's laugh-out-loud, Tony Award-winning comedy, directed by Bruce Jordan. Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike begins performances May 5, opens May 9, and runs in the Elaine P. Wilson Mainstage through May 31.
