Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Producing Artistic Director Andre Bishop) has announced the upcoming productions of three new plays during its 2015 - 2016 season, BroadwayWorld has learned.

FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade in association with Moonlight Theatre Productions will present the first annual politiKos 2015 (founding Artistic Director, Israela Margalit), a new political theater festival of drama, comedy, satire, songs, and opinions from left, right and center, that gives voice to celebrated as well as to emerging playwrights, poets, and performers. This year's festival will feature work by Arthur Kopit, Dominique Morisseau, Brian Dykstra, Michael Bradford, Libby Emmons, Israela Margalit, Colin Greer, Darian Dauchan, Up and Down Theater, and The Living Theater, under directors John Eisner, Margarett Perry, John-Martin Green, and Christina Russos. politiKos is about politics in the broadest sense of the word, hence the  "K" from the Greek: of, for, or relating to citizens.

Ars Nova presents THE ARS NOVA REVOLUTION, celebrating Ars Nova All Stars Jill Furman, Thomas Kail and Lin-Manuel Miranda, from Freestyle Love Supreme (Ars Nova, 2004) to HAMILTON (Broadway, 2015). This epic night of revelry benefiting Ars Nova's artist community, featuring performances by cast members of Hamilton and Freestyle Love Supreme, takes place tonight, September 21 at 6:30pm at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street).

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have hired Stephen M. Kaus as Associate Artistic Producer for Manhattan Theatre Club.

SYLVIA, Broadway's most captivating canine, will be celebrating NATIONAL DOG WEEK with a box office giveaway that both dogs and their human companions can enjoy. Actors Co-op (Ovation Award-Winner 2014 Best Intimate Theatre Musical for 110 in the Shade) is thrilled to announce the second show in its 2015-2016 season (and 24th year of producing theatrical excellence in Los Angeles!) with HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES by Tim Kelly, based on the story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and directed by Moosie Drier.

New Repertory Theatre announces A NUMBER by Caryl Churchill, October 10 - November 1, 2015 in the Charles Mosesian Theater at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA. The press opening will be Monday, October 12, at 7:30pm.

Melvin Bernhardt, director of two Pulitzer Prize-winning plays and Tony winner for DA, died on Saturday, September 12, 2015. He was 84.

Yale Repertory Theatre opens its 2015-16 season with the world premiere of INDECENT, a new play with music, written by Paula Vogel, created by Paula Vogel and Rebecca Taichman, and directed by Rebecca Taichman, at the University Theatre (222 York Street), October 2-24. Opening Night is Thursday, October 8. The world premiere of INDECENT is a co-production with La Jolla Playhouse, where it will play November 13-December 10.

3Girls Theatre Company takes pleasure in announcing the world premiere of an original musical comedy: MOMENTS OF TRUTH, by 3GT resident playwright Patricia Milton (book) and Caroline Altman (music & lyrics). This world premiere production is directed by Louis Parnell, with music direction by Scrumbly Koldewyn, and runs tonight, Sept. 16 - Oct. 18, 2015 at Royce Gallery in San Francisco.

After having worked together for over 7 years, Stuart Thompson and David Turner are forming a new general management company, Thompson Turner Productions, which will have King Charles III as its first Broadway credit and will continue to be a general management company for Broadway and touring shows.  Thompson will continue to produce under the umbrella of Stuart Thompson Productions.

Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, will present the new play VEILS by Tom Coash, from October 1-18, with a press opening Sunday, October 4 at 3pm..

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 2015/2016 season with David Auburn's brilliant contemporary drama Proof, winner of the Tony Award for Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. This riveting masterpiece tells the still timely tale of a young woman caught in a quest for legitimacy in the male dominated world of high-level science. It is a mystery of family instability and fledgling romance, an exhilarating, funny, and fulfilling tribute to the humanity that permeates our world of equations, equivocations, and codes. Proof will be directed by TheatreWorks Associate Artistic Director Leslie Martinson and features a talented cast including L. Peter Callender, Michelle Beck, Ashley Bryant, and Lance Gardner. Performances will be presented October 7 - November 1 (press opening October 10) at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, 500 Castro Street (at Mercy), Mountain View. The Michael Grandage Company presents the UK premiere of Anna Ziegler's Photograph 51. Nicole Kidman who leads the company as Rosalind Franklin is joined by Will Attenborough (James Watson), Edward Bennett (Francis Crick), Stephen Campbell Moore (Maurice Wilkins), Patrick Kennedy (Don Caspar) and Joshua Silver (Ray Gosling). Photograph 51 opens at the Noel Coward Theatre tonight 14 September, with previews from 5 September, and runs until 21 November.

The Huntington Theatre Company opens its 2015-2016 season with the Tony Award-winning musical A Little Night Music, Stephen Sondheim's most romantic and popular work, led by Tony and Olivier nominee Haydn Gwynne, as well as Broadway's Stephen Bogardus and Lauren Molina. Huntington Artistic Director Peter DuBois (after all the terrible things I do; Smart People; Rapture, Blister, Burn; and Becky Shaw) will direct. Performances will run tonight, September 11, through October 11, 2015 at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Arthur Miller's THE CRUCIBLE will return to Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street) this spring. Bill Camp (as Reverend John Hale), Jim Norton (as Giles Corey), Tavi Gevinson (as Mary Warren), and Jason Butler Harner (as Reverend Samuel Parris) are among those who will join previously announced stars Ben Whishaw (as John Proctor), Sophie Okonedo (as Elizabeth Proctor), Saoirse Ronan (as Abigail Williams), and Ciaran Hinds (as Deputy-Governor Danforth).

The REP, Point Park University's professional theatre company, continues its 2015-2016 season with "Genius Grant" recipient Tarell Alvin McCraney's play Choir Boy.
