Towne Street Theatre, L.A.'s premiere African-American theatre company, is excited to announce the Opening Night Reception for their 9th Annual TST Ten-Minute Play Festival, at the Stella Adler Theatre on April 8th.  Attendees are invited to join the cast and crew in the Stella Adler's Speakeasy for a wine reception, following the Opening Night production.

Bristol Riverside Theatre opens the hit rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar starting March 21 and running through April 16. 

Charles Busch and Penny Fuller, who appeared together as bosom buddies Mame and Vera in Auntie Mame at the Bay Street Theatre, will lend their voices to Monahan & Oyen's DIVA: Live From Hell. Busch (The Divine Sister, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife) will voice the manager of the dingy cabaret venue in Hell, where Desmond Channing (played by Monahan) is doomed to perform his torturous act for eternity. Fuller (Sunday in the Park with George, The Elephant Man), who was nominated for a Tony Award for her portrayal of Eve Harrington in the musical Applause, will voice the grandmother of Desmond Channing (loosely inspired by the character of Eve Harrington's nemesis, Margo Channing).

Playwright Mashuq Deen (New Dramatists Fellow 2022) brings the story of his own transgender journey as a member of a traditional South Asian family and Playwright Catherine Filloux, winner of more than 40 awards for playwriting, activism and peace work, brings her latest work to the stage at New York City's first arts-advocacy festival of its kind, the International Human Rights Art Festival.

This season at Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville, audiences get the chance to see the melding of sci-fi and feminism in a new way. Making its world premiere, Georgina Escobar's SWEEP introduces creative worlds and presents the constant theme of balance among the characters, letting audiences decide what deeper meanings they take away from it.

Bristol Riverside Theatre continues its 30th Anniversary season with the hit rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar, running March 21-April 16.  With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, Jesus Christ Superstar is directed by Keith Baker, music directed by Douglass Lutz, with choreography by Stephen Casey and features Julian Alvarez, Derrick Cobey, Patrick H. What Will the Neighbors Say? is excited to announce its upcoming production of Four Sisters, a new play by Co-Artistic Director James Clements. The play examines the lives and deaths of the four daughters of the last Tsar of Russia in the aftermath of the 1917 Revolution. Four Sisters will begin with a preview performance on Tuesday March 21st before opening on Wednesday March 22nd at the Beckman Theatre at the American Theatre for Actors, 314 W 54th St.
