Full casting has been announced for the upcoming National Touring Production of WAITRESS, the new Broadway musical from Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles inspired by Adrienne Shelley's 2007 motion picture.

The National Tour of WAITRESS premieres in Cleveland, OH at the Connor Palace Theatre in Playhouse Square tonight, October 17th, 2017.

Broadway In Boston announced today that tickets for the upcoming Boston engagement of WAITRESS, will go on sale to the public on Sunday, October 15, 2017. Following its debut at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, MA this new production comes straight from Broadway. WAITRESS will play a limited two week engagement at the Boston Opera House February 20 March 4, 2018 as part of the 2017-2018 Lexus Broadway In Boston Season.

The production, which opened last Friday and was originally scheduled to close onMarch 19, will now run through March 26 in the Ellyn Bye Studio. His Eye is on the Sparrow is directed by Timothy Douglas with music direction/accompaniment by Darius Smith. Maiesha McQueen, who made her debut at The Armory last season in Ain't Misbehavin,' stars as Ethel Waters.

As I'm conditioning my hair and applying every essential oil known to man on my scalp, I am reflecting on the production I saw yesterday evening. I had the pleasure of seeing 'da Kink in My Hair at the Horizon Theatre in Atlanta. The play was nothing short of amazing.
