Lifeline Theatre to Present A TALE OF TWO CITIES, 2/14-4/6

Lifeline Theatre presents a world premiere adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities, by ensemble member Christopher M. Walsh, and directed by ensemble member Elise Kauzlaric (Non-Equity Jeff Award nominee for Mariette in Ecstasy). The Reign of Terror sweeps through Paris, destroying both the high and low, and two Londoners are confronted with impossible choices. Will former aristocrat Charles Darnay abandon his family and brave the revolutionary storm to protect an innocent man? And can depressive barrister Sydney Carton find the strength to make the ultimate sacrifice for the unrequited love of his life? Darnay and Carton join a host of unforgettable characters in this passionate tale of soldiers and servants, revolutionaries and the nobility, set against a backdrop of violent social upheaval. An epic story of resurrection and redemption, brought to life by a cast of ten actors, including Lifeline Theatre ensemble members Chris Hainsworth and Katie McLean Hainsworth.

In its award-winning and audience-acclaimed style, Lifeline's thirty-first season will feature six unforgettable books brought to life: sprawling, classic stories as well as thrilling contemporary titles, as Lifeline retains its reputation for fresh, imaginative interpretations of beloved favorites and embraces the challenges of new, thought-provoking works. Additionally, Lifeline Theatre will produce the seventeenth annual Fillet of Solo Festival and the Georgette Heyer Reading Series.

Lifeline Theatre Concludes its 30th Season With THE THREE MUSKETEERS, Opening 6/10

Lifeline Theatre presents an adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' The Three Musketeers, by Lifeline Theatre ensemble member Robert Kauzlaric (Non-Equity Jeff Award winner), and directed by 2nd Story Artistic Director Amanda Delheimer Dimond. Kauzlaric's adaptation of The Three Musketeers was originally commissioned by the Illinois Shakespeare Festival in 2010, revised for a 2011 Indiana University production, and will be further developed for its Chicago premiere at Lifeline Theatre. Fourteen actors will play over fifty roles in this epic swashbuckler with fights choreographed by Matt Hawkins.

The Brown University/Trinity Rep MFA Programs Present ROMEO & JULIET, 5/7-19

The Brown University/Trinity Rep MFA Programs will present a dramatic reinvention of the Shakespearian classic Romeo and Juliet, directed by Ryan Purcell (Brown/Trinity Rep MFA Programs '13). Experience this timeless tale of forbidden passion in a new way: a world filled with violence, jealousy, and ultimately loss transformed. Performances are May 7 through May 19 in the Citizens Bank Theater, Pell Chafee Performance Center, 87 Empire Street, Providence. But soon this deceptively simple crime reveals ties to powerful political and corporate factions at the heart of both Beszel and its twin city, Ul Qoma.
