Cynthia Nixon has won the 2017 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play for Lillian Hellman'S The Little Foxes. This marks Ms. Nixon's fourth Tony nomination and second win. She previously won the Tony for 2006's RABBIT HOLE. She was also nominated for 2012's WIT and 1995's INDISCRETIONS.

Inspired by a true story, Six Degrees of Separation follows the trail of a young African-American con man who insinuates himself into the lives of a wealthy, white New York couple, claiming he is the son of actor Sidney Poitier, and that he has just been mugged and all his money is gone. No subject is left untouched in this comic, fast-paced and affecting piece. Six Degrees is directed by Stuart Bousel, who directed last season's award-winning Grey Gardens. Playwright John Guare recently met with the Press to discuss the Barrington Stage Company production of his adaptation of the classic American comedy HIS GIRL FRIDAY. Julianne Boyd, the artistic director of BSC will also be directing the production which will be on Barrington Stage's Boyd-Quinson Mainstage from Aug 6-30. Opening night is Wednesday, Aug 12. Director Julianne Boyd and actors Christopher Innvar and Jane Pfitsch joined Mr. Guare for the Press Conference in which they all took questions.

The Old Globe presents William Shakespeare's delightful and romantic Twelfth Night, directed by Rebecca Taichman, whose production of the time-traveling Time and the Conways fascinated audiences last April, as part of the 2015 Summer Shakespeare Festival. The Old Globe engagement runs through July 26, 2015, with opening night tonight, June 27 at 8:00 p.m., in the Lowell Davies Festival Theatre.
The Women's Division of Albert Einstein College of Medicine hosted its 61st Annual Spirit of Achievement Luncheon on Tuesday, May 19th at the Rainbow Room, honoring Candice Bergen, Renee Fleming and Einstein faculty members Daphne T. Hsu, M.D., and Robert H. Pass, M.D. Both are leading pediatric heart specialists at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore, the pediatric division of Einstein's University hospital.
