Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA), one of the country's longest-running and largest LGBTQ arts organizations, announced today that Chrissy Metz, star of NBC's This is Us and Shoshana Bean, star of Broadway's Waitress, will join GMCLA'S Gala Concert at Walt Disney Concert Hall on August 16, 2019 at 7:30 pm.

Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA), one of the country's longest-running and largest LGBTQ arts organizations, announced today that internationally-acclaimed conductor Jenny Wong will serve as Interim Artistic Director and Conductor beginning in September and will conduct the upcoming concerts in December. 

Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA), one of the country's longest-running and largest LGBTQ arts organizations, will honor David Mixner, a leader in LGBTQ and civil rights for the past 60 years with its Lifetime Legend award for six decades of activism, service, and leadership, at its upcoming gala: GMCLA 40STONEWALL 50 on August 16, 2019, at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. This Concert and Gala will be a mil estone event which concludes GMCLA's 40th anniversary season and commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in New York City.  

The LA Times reports that following reports that following allegations of inappropriate behavior by former board chairman and former West Hollywood Mayor John Duran has furthered financial troubles for the L. A. Gay Men's Chorus, which currently has a deficit of $400K.

On Sunday, June 10, the Foundation for New American Musicals will showcase short (10-minute) musicals written by high school and college-age finalists competing for cash-award scholarships in SHOWSEARCH 2018.

Launched as a 99-seat production at the Lillian Theatre, where it played to SRO houses and critical acclaim including a Los Angeles Times "Critic's Choice" review, Recorded in Hollywood, the new musical chronicling the story of black businessman, record label owner and music producer John Dolphin, will receive a commercial run as a guest production at the 317-seat Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City.

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today that tickets for the upcoming national tour of LOVE LETTERS, celebrated playwright A.R. Gurney's enduring romance about first loves and second chances, starring Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal will go on sale Friday, February 5 at 10 a.m.
