The Old Globe's 2012 Summer Season will feature the West Coast Premiere of Divine Rivalry by Michael Kramer with D. S. Moynihan and directed by Michael Wilson and the San Diego premiere of Yasmina Reza's Tony Award-winning play God of Carnage directed by Richard Seer.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced a luncheon to laud The Old Globe's corporate donors for their outstanding annual fund support. The Annual Corporate Appreciation Event will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, Oct. 20 in Hattox Hall, located in the Karen and Donald Cohn Education Center at the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced that Matt McGrath will appear in the role of Frank ‘N' Furter in The Old Globe's upcoming production of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show. McGrath appeared on Broadway as the Emcee in Sam Mendes' hit revival of Cabaret and in the international tour of Tom Waits and William S. Burroughs' The Black Rider: The Casting of the Magic Bullets directed by Robert Wilson. He has also appeared Off Broadway in Hedwig and the Angry Itch and A Fair Country at Lincoln Center Theater. McGrath replaces the previously announced James Barbour, who has departed the production.

BroadwayWorld.com has been following the progress of Broadway-bound musical, ALLEGIANCE, since its first reading in Los Angeles two years ago up to its final workshop presentation held at the Baryshnikov Arts Center yesterday. What we just saw certainly bore little likeness to its initial working draft while some aspects of the production have remained the same, like its central story on the Japanese American experience during and after the World War II internment; and its composer and lyricist Jay Kuo's uplifting and emotionally charged music and lyrics.
