IFC announced today that it has renewed Documentary Now!, for a 53rd season. The series is produced by Broadway Video and created by Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Seth Meyers, Rhys Thomas and executive produced by Lorne Michaels. IFC has ordered 7 episodes for the upcoming season, however no air date has been announced because Fred, Bill and Seth are super busy.
Adam Sandler will make his highly anticipated return to Studio 8H for his “Saturday Night Live” hosting debut on May 4. Sandler joined the show as a writer in 1990 and was in the cast from 1991-95, creating many memorable characters, impressions and musical moments, including “The Chanukah Song.”

According to Deadline, this week's episode of Saturday Night Live experienced a decrease in ratings. The episode, hosted by Idris Elba, with musical guest Khalid, averaged a 4.5 live plus same day household rating in the metered markets, and a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating in the markets with local people meters.
