According to The Hollywood Reporter, DOWNTON ABBEY's Laura Carmichael has signed on for Sophie Barthes' upcoming film adaptation of MADAME BOVARY. She'll star opposite Paul Giamatti, Mia Wasikowska, Ezra Millerand Rhys Ifans. Logan Marshall-Green and Olivier Gourmet have also recently boarded the project.

The production is directed by Obie Winner Jo Bonney, who has directed the Geffen Playhouse productions of LaBute's Some Girl(s), The Break of Noon and Fat Pig. She also directed the theater's West Coast premiere production of By the Way, Meet Vera Stark.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced a world premiere play along with a New York premiere new musical which will be presented as part of the company's eleventh annual Second Stage Theatre Uptown Series this summer: Erica Lipez's The Tutors, directed by Thomas Kail and Murder For Two with Book and Music by Joe Kinosian and Book and Lyrics by Kellen Blair.

The Parisian Woman tears the veil off adultery in this modern retelling of the scandalous affairs of a bored and intelligent wife left to her own devices. Directed by Joel Schumacher.

Renowned investigative theatre company The Civilians celebrates its 2011-2012 season with the presentation of its first ever Civilian of the Year Award. The Civilians will honor Robert Hammond, co-founder of The High Line, at its 2012 Benefit tonight, April 23rd, at the Highline Ballroom. Hammond will be feted by the company's Associate Artists as well as additional stage and screen stars in a one-night-only performance of interviews and songs by Michael J. Friedman (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) about Hammond and the creation of The High Line, put together in The Civilians' signature investigative style. Interviewees for this unique performance include Amanda Burden (Director of the Department of City Planning), Florent Morellet (Restaurant Owner), and Bronson Van Wyck (Event Planner).

PROMETHEUS is coming to theaters on June 8th from 20th Century Fox. The Sci-Fi Horror film is directed by Ridley Scott and stars Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba, Noomi Rapace, Kate Dickie, Logan Marshall-Green, Sean Harris, Patrick Wilson, Guy Pearce, Ben Foster, Emun Elliot, Benedict Wong, Rafe Spall, James Payton, Vladimir 'Furdo' Furdik and Lance Henriksen.
