Opera New Jersey has announced that Broadway star Lisa Vroman will be stepping into the lead role of Rosalinde in itsupcoming performances of Johann Strauss, Jr.'s delightful operetta Die Fledermaus. Regretfully, Ruth Ann Swenson has withdrawn due to illness. The Bushnell's fully staged concert version of Meredith Willson's 'The Music Man' proves timeless for the audience and its stars

The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Hartford, CT, celebrated its much anticipated opening night of 'The Music Man' on Tuesday, April 22 at Vito's by the Park. Performed as a semi-staged concert, the 50th Anniversary Tribute stars the legendary Shirley Jones and son Patrick Cassidy, along with Broadway veterans Lisa Vroman and Jason Graae.

Glimmerglass Opera has announced that Lisa Vroman will sing the role of Lilli Vanessi/Kate, and Brad Little will sing Fred Graham/Petruchio in the company's 2008 summer production of Cole Porter's Kiss Me, Kate. The production opens the Glimmerglass Opera Festival Season on July 5 at the Alice Busch Opera Theater in Cooperstown, New York, and runs through August 23.

New York Festival of Song (NYFOS) continues its 20th Anniversary season by presenting Bastianello and Lucrezia, two newly commissioned comic operas by composers John Musto and William Bolcom with libretti by Mark Campbell. The concerts will take place on Tuesday, March 11 and Thursday, March 13 at 8PM, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, West 57th Street and 7th Avenue.

Betty Buckley (Cats, The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Kate Burton (Hedda Gabler, The Constant Wife), Hugh Panaro (Lestat), Lisa Vroman (The Phantom of the Opera), and Josh Strickland, Jenn Gambatese and Chester Gregory II (Tarzan), have joined the upcoming gala concert Broadway for Medicine, featuring the best of Broadway coming together on one stage to benefit children with craniofacial differences, presented by The National Foundation for Facial Reconstruction.
