Segal Centre to Present I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE, 5/8-29

The Segal Centre proudly presents the incredibly popular musical I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change with book and lyrics by Tony Award-winning writer Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts. This hysterical exploration of love in all its many splendored forms is the second longest running off-Broadway show and will have its Montreal premiere at the Segal May 8 through May 29, 2016.

BAD JEWS Will Make Montreal Premiere at Segal Centre This May

The Segal Centre presents the scathingly funny BAD JEWS by Joshua Harmon. Having received critical acclaim internationally in the U.S., London, South Africa and Israel, BAD JEWS will have its Montreal premiere at the Segal, May 1 through May 22, 2016. This play will mark the Segal Centre directorial debut for Artistic and Executive Director Lisa Rubin.

THE APPRENTICESHIP OF DUDDY KRAVITZ: THE MUSICAL Extends at the Segal Centre

The Segal Centre is proud to announce that its world premiere production of The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz: The Musical, set to open today, June 11, will receive a one week extension to meet audience demand. Based on the classic Montreal coming of age novel by Mordecai Richler, with book and lyrics by David Spencer, music by Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken, and directed by Austin Pendleton, The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz: The Musical was officially scheduled to close on Sunday, June 28. It will now run an additional week through Sunday, July 5th. Tickets for these added performances are now on sale.

Collegiate Chorale's Spring 2015 Benefit Raises More Than $300,000

The Collegiate Chorale raised more than $300,000 at its annual Spring Benefit featuring the U.S. premiere of Kurt Weill and Franz Werfel's The Road of Promise at Carnegie Hall on May 7, 2015. Proceeds will go toward The Chorale's artistic and education initiatives.

Musical Adaptation of 'DUDDY KRAVITZ' Begins Next Month at Segal Centre

The Segal Centre will close its blockbuster 2014-2015 Theatre Season with The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz: The Musical, a world premiere musical adaptation of Mordecai Richler's novel and the feature film by the same name, from June 7-28, 2015. This new production boasts an original musical score by Alan Menken, the legendary Oscar and Tony winning composer of Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, with book and lyrics by acclaimed lyricist-librettist David Spencer and direction by American theatre veteran Austin Pendleton. Presented with the generous support of RBC and Muse Entertainment.

Directed by Andrew Shaver, starring Luke Humphrey and Brigitte Robinson and featuring live music on stage by Justin Rutledge and Matthew Barber, this summer sizzler launches the Segal Centre's new season from August 31-September 21, 2014. Starring Luke Humphrey as Benjamin Braddock and Brigitte Robinson as Mrs. Robinson.

BELLES SOEURS: THE MUSICAL to Debut in Montreal at the Segal Centre, Oct 19-Nov 9

Copa de Oro Productions and the Segal Centre for Performing Arts have secured the rights to the English-language adaptation of Belles-Soeurs, the Quebec musical sensation based on the play by Michel Tremblay. BELLES SŒURS: THE MUSICAL will premiere to Montreal audiences as part of the Segal Centre's 2014-2015 Season from October 19 - November 9, 2014.

Greenfield Prize Celebration and Award Presentation Held 4/15

Thursday, April 15, 2010 is the date for the third presentation of the annual Greenfield Prize, a $30,000 commission for a new work of art in a designated category. This year's award goes to Sanford Biggers, the first visual artist to receive the Greenfield Prize since its inception in 2008.

Epic Theater Center to Hold 'Beyond Beauty' Discussions

In conjunction with their Off Broadway production of Zak Berkman's Beauty On The Vine, Epic Theatre Center has announced the programming for their 'Beyond Beauty Initiative.'
