The 47th Annual New York Film Festival returns to the fully renovated Alice Tully Hall September 25 through October 11, 2009.

Writers' Theatre Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma announce Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead directed by Artistic Director Michael Halberstam.

The 'R.I.P. Experience,' a first-class ticket to terror, will offer exclusive tours of historic horror sets located on Universal's world famous backlot, a private 'Terror Tram' excursion and front-of-line entry at all mazes, 'scare zones,' rides and attractions that will make 'Halloween Horror Nights' for 2009 at Universal Studios HollywoodSM the most intense and impactful 'live' horror event ever to be presented in a theme park environment. Halloween Horror Nights continues on selected dates through October 31.

Halloween Horror Nights, Southern California's most terrifying Halloween event, began a 16-night run on Friday, October 2. Tickets are on sale at www.UniversalStudiosHollywood.com.

Auditions were held today for the ?Rocky Horror Picture Show: A Tribute,? which joins the four new maze experiences, four new ?scare zones,? new ?Terror Tram? backlot experience, and new ?Bill and Ted?s Excellent Halloween Adventure? production, that represent the re-imagining of Halloween Horror Nights for 2009 at Universal Studios HollywoodSM. The stage is now set for the most intense and impactful ?live? horror event ever to be presented in a theme park environment.

Mad scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Rocky Horror and other famous Rocky Horror Picture Show characters will be part of the Halloween Horror Nights line-up at Universal Studios HollywoodSM this year as 'Rocky Horror Picture Show: A Tribute,' is featured as part of the Halloween Horror Nights event which begins a 16-night run on October 2.

The stage at Harpo Studios in Chicago will undergo a radical transformation as it travels back for a 60's themed episode, featuring appearances by cast members of 'Mad Men', and performances by JERSEY BOYS. The show, titled 'Oprah Goes Back in Time - The 60's, will air Monday, September 21.

'Precious' captured the festival's People's Choice award, which is voted on by filmgoers. Last year it went to 2009 Best Picture Oscar winner 'Slumdog Millionaire.'

AMC announced has renewed 'Mad Men' for a fourth season. The news comes on the heels of the premiere of the series' third season, which debuted Sunday, August 16th to unprecedented critical acclaim and attention, and garnered a record 4.5 million viewers.
