Silk Road Rising has announced Black Teen Lives Matter, written by students in Silk Road Rising's Empathic Playwriting Intensive Course (EPIC) program, and directed by Jarrett King. The video performance will be screened twice, once on Saturday, November 14 at 2:00PM CST and again on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 7:00PM CST.
Teaching Young Artists, DLC's Professional Training Program, opens Junie B. Jones: the Musical tomorrow and runs through Wednesday, July 25th. The production will then tour throughout Central Maryland for the remainder of the summer season.

Red Branch Theatre Company (RBTC) will continue its 2016 season entitled Paint It Red with Heathers: The Musical. The upcoming staging marks the first production for this title in the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area for the first time. Red Branch Theatre Company (RBTC) will continue its 2016 season entitled Paint It Red with Heathers: The Musical. Casting has just been completed for the staging that brings this title to the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area for the first time. The production will run at Drama Learning Center, where Red Branch is the theatre in residence, from August 5-27, 2016. Drama Learning Center's professional training company for emerging young artists will present the area premiere of new musical comedy First Date this month.
Drama Learning Center's teen professional company will present Bring It On the Musical next month. Based on the major motion picture franchise of the same name, Bring It On the Musical follows would-be cheer captain Campbell as she is suspiciously re-districted from preppy Truman High to the hard-knock Jackson High. Against the odds, Campbell befriends the head of Jackson's dance crew, Danielle. Together, they form a powerhouse cheerleading squad to stand toe-to-toe with Campbell's old team while they learn about the complexities of friendship, jealousy, betrayal, and forgiveness.
Drama Learning Center's teen professional company will present the area premiere of GHOST, the musical this spring. Based on the hit film by Academy Award-winning screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin, GHOST, the musical follows young couple Sam and Molly as their relationship takes a challenging turn with Sam's untimely death. The national tour of GHOST recently performed a limited engagement at Baltimore's historic Hippodrome Theater, but this production marks the area premiere for a local performing group.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee centers around a fictional spelling bee in Putnam Valley Middle School. Quirky adolescents compete in the Bee, run by equally quirky grown-ups. The 2005 Broadway production was nominated for six Tony Awards, and won two, including Best Book. As with the original Broadway production, this iteration will also involve audience participation.
