The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel, will welcome Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch, The Brandon McCune Trio,and Tony DeSare and to Bemelmans Bar for Sunday night residencies throughout the spring 2016 season. Featuring top artists from the worlds of jazz, cabaret and Broadway alongside special unannounced guests, Sunday nights at Bemelmans Bar have become a favorite spot for a wide range of performing musicians across the city. Additionally, the classic watering hole has drawn crowds consisting of socialites, politicians, movie stars and moguls for more than five decades. ?Producer Rick Murray has added three powerhouse talents to the 2016 Broadway Series in Provincetown, Massachusetts this season at The Crown & Anchor's Paramount Theatre and Town Hall Auditorium. Award-winning performers Lypsinka, Charles Busch, and Lily Tomlin join a star-studded array of Broadway talent. Following up on last summer's smash hit season, the 2016 Broadway Series also includes previously announced headliners Alan Cumming, Lucie Arnaz, Liz and Ann Hampton Callaway, Linda Eder, Levi Kreis, and Randy Graff. Tickets are now on sale for the Series, in which these Oscar, Tony, Emmy, and Grammy Award-winning stars will be performing live in full concerts.

The Houston Symphony's 2016-17 season, Andres Orozco-Estrada's third season as music director, celebrates more than a century of leadership in Houston's cultural landscape. In its 103rd year, the Houston Symphony announced the upcoming season at Jones Hall on Monday, January 25, in front of several hundred guests and supporters, emphasizing the institution's ongoing collaboration with living composers, a continued focus on new music, a renewed concentration on innovative programming, and world-class musicianship and entertainment. Houston Symphony Music Director Orozco-Estrada, Principal POPS Conductor Michael Krajewski, and Executive Director/CEO Mark C. Hanson were on hand to unveil the new season and share their favorite highlights.

Shortly after Broadway composer and arranger Kim Scharnberg proposed to Gwynn Griffin, also a musician, they agreed they didn't want a traditional reception for their wedding. They wanted to do a benefit concert instead, and what better place than one of their favorite venues, the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival's historic Music Shed.
