Vinegar Hill Music Theater to Open in June

Vinegar Hill Music Theater, southern Maine's newest live arts entertainment venue, will kick off its very first season on June 24 with a gala event benefitting Music on Main, a non-profit community organization dedicated to bringing the Portland Symphony Orchestra to the Kennebunks each summer.

Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch, Tony DeSare & More Set for Bemelmans Bar in The Carlyle's Spring Season

The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel, will welcome Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch, The Brandon McCune Trio,and Tony DeSare and to Bemelmans Bar for Sunday night residencies throughout the spring 2016 season. Featuring top artists from the worlds of jazz, cabaret and Broadway alongside special unannounced guests, Sunday nights at Bemelmans Bar have become a favorite spot for a wide range of performing musicians across the city. Additionally, the classic watering hole has drawn crowds consisting of socialites, politicians, movie stars and moguls for more than five decades. Bernadette Peters Cancels Summer 2016 Crown & Anchor Concert; Lily Tomlin & More Join Lineup

Houston Symphony Announces 2016-17 Season

The Houston Symphony's 2016-17 season, Andres Orozco-Estrada's third season as music director, celebrates more than a century of leadership in Houston's cultural landscape. In its 103rd year, the Houston Symphony announced the upcoming season at Jones Hall on Monday, January 25, in front of several hundred guests and supporters, emphasizing the institution's ongoing collaboration with living composers, a continued focus on new music, a renewed concentration on innovative programming, and world-class musicianship and entertainment. Houston Symphony Music Director Orozco-Estrada, Principal POPS Conductor Michael Krajewski, and Executive Director/CEO Mark C. Hanson were on hand to unveil the new season and share their favorite highlights.
