Los Angeles Ballet to Perform AGON and RUBIES at Grand Park, 7/6

The Music Center will partner with Los Angeles Ballet to present that company's productions of Agon and Rubies on Saturday evening July 6 at 7:30 pm, free to the public. Both have music by Igor Stravinsky and choreography by George Balanchine. This free event, under the stars in Grand Park and open to everyone, is part of the broad array of free public events The Music Center is presenting at Grand Park. The event is a one of a kind opportunity to spread a blanket, bring a picnic basket, and enjoy ballet in a whole new way.

The School of American Ballet's Workshop Performance Benefit 2013 at SAB on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 honored Peter Martins' and Kay Mazzo's 30th Anniversary with the School and raised more than $820,000 for scholarships and school programs. The evening began with cocktails at 5:30pm, followed by the presentation of Mae L. Wien Awards for Outstanding Service to Mr. Martins and Ms. Mazzo respectively by Kate D. Levin, commissioner of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and Sterling Hyltin, New York City Ballet Principal Dancer.

The School of American Ballet announces the Workshop Performance Benefit 2013 tonight, June 4, 2013, honoring Peter Martins' and Kay Mazzo's 30th Anniversary at SAB. Cocktails begin at 5:30pm at Morse Hall at the Juilliard School, 155 W. 65th Street, followed by the performance at 7pm at Lincoln Center's Peter Jay Sharp Theater, 155 W. 65th Street, and dinner and dancing at 9pm in the School's Studios in the Samuel B. and David Rose Building, 165 W. 65th Street, 5th floor. Attire is cocktail or festive. Tickets begin at $300 and tables begin at $15,000.
