David Rubenstein Atrium Passes 100,000 Visitor Milestone, Free May Performances Set

The David Rubenstein at Lincoln Center, the new community, visitors and ticketing facility on the Upper West Side, welcomed its 100,000 visitor last week. Opened on November 19, Manhattan's newest public space, home to an array of programs, services and amenities designed to welcome, inform and entertain the thousands of people who visit Lincoln Center and its surrounding community each day, the Atrium is becoming a favored destination for area residents, tourists, and students.

DJ D-Nice Spins at Party Hosted by Lincoln Center 4/29

As part of its continuing mission to bring the arts into the communities of New York City, and to celebrate New York's rich ethnic and cultural diversity, the Young Patrons of Lincoln Center (YPLC) are hosting a dance party on Thursday, April 29 from 8:30 to 10:00 pm (Doors open at 7:30) at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, 1040 Grand Concourse. The Bronx's own DJ D-Nice will spin a special set for the event.

Lincoln Center Announces Midsummer Night Swing Schedule, Runs 6/29-7/17

Tickets are on sale now for Lincoln Center's 22nd season of Midsummer Night Swing which will take place every Tuesday through Saturday, June 29-July 17 (except July 13, which will be replaced with a night of dancing on Monday, July 12th). The program will take place in Swing's home, Lincoln Center's Damrosch Park, on West 62nd Street between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues.

Annual Lincoln Center Festival to Feature Bill T. Jones, von Hove et al., 7/7-7/25

Nigel Redden, Director of the Lincoln Center Festival, which runs from July 7 through July 25, 2010, today announced the Festival's line-up, which includes ten North American, U.S., and New York premieres, and debuts. The Festival will unfold in seven venues on and off the Lincoln Center campus, including two major theater events on Governors Island-the North American premiere of Peter Stein's 12-hour marathon production of Dostoyevsky's The Demons (also known as The Possessed) and the North American premiere of Toneelgroep Amsterdam's production of Pier Paolo Pasolini's searing Teorema, adapted and staged by Ivo van Hove.

STIFTERS DINGE By Heiner Goebbels Makes U.S. Premiere 12/16-20 At Park Avenue Armory

Stifters Dinge, created by the innovative German composer/director Heiner Goebbels, is the latest of his works to stretch the boundaries of live performance. The 70-minute-long sonic performance landscape was inspired by the writings of 19th-century Austrian romantic novelist Adalbert Stifter extended and minutely-detailed descriptions of nature. The title translates as 'Stifters Things.'

Lincoln Centre to Offer Discount Box Office

The Lincoln Centre has opened a new atrium which will house a box office dedicated to selling day-of, discounted tickets to performances presented at all venues of the Gotham performing arts complex, according to a report in Variety. The box office is scheduled to open January 7.

The David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center officially opens to the public on December 17. The new space, open every day and located on Broadway between 62nd and 63rd streets, is a vibrant, new public visitors space and ticketing facility that is home to an array of programs, services, and amenities designed to welcome, inform, and entertain the thousands of people who visit Lincoln Center and its surrounding community every day.

Stephen Dillane-Led FOUR QUARTETS Opens Tonight at Lincoln Center, 12/2

This December, Lincoln Center's Great Performers series will present Tony Award-winning actor Stephen Dillane in two unique performances directed by Katie Mitchell that are based on the relationship between music and literature. Just added to the series, Mr. Dillane performs T.S. Eliot's Four Quartets, followed by the Miró Quartet's interpretation of Beethoven's late String Quartet in A minor, Op.132, which originally inspired the poet's timeless texts. Four Quartets, which originated at the Donmar Warehouse in London in January 2009, will be performed December 2 and 3 only at Baryshnikov Arts Center.
