THE LAST SHIP - the new musical with music and lyrics by 16-time Grammy Award-winner Sting and book by Tony Award winner John Logan and Pulitzer Prize-winner Brian Yorkey opens tonight, October 26. The Last Ship is directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello and choreographed by Olivier Award winner and Tony Award nominee Steven Hoggett. Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman's Pulitzer Prize-winning play YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU opened on September 28, 2014, at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street). The production is directed by six-time Tony Award-nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Scott Ellis (The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Twelve Angry Men, 1776). The new Broadway revival of On The Town, directed by John Rando (Tony Award for Urinetown) and choreographed by Joshua Bergasse (Emmy Award winner for 'Smash') officially opens tonight, Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Broadway's Lyric Theatre (213 W 42nd St, New York, NY 10036). Opening night is Monday, October 20 at 7pm for the LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater production of brownsville song (b-side for tray), a new play by Kimber Lee, directed by Patricia McGregor, at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street). This New York premiere, which features Sheldon Best, Sun Mee Chomet, Lizan Mitchell, Chris Myers and Taliyah Whitaker, is playing a limited engagement through Sunday, November 16. Fort Point Theatre Channel presents In the Summer House, with a stellar ensemble of eight actresses and two actors.

Westchester Broadway Theatre dusted off the original version of Rogers & Hammerstein's South Pacific. The show is based on the Pulitzer Prize- winning book "Tales of the South Pacific" by James A. Michener. This is not a revival of the production done a few years ago at Lincoln Center Theater.

The Pulitzer Prize winning play DISGRACED by Ayad Akhtar will have its Broadway premiere this fall starring Hari Dhillon (star of the acclaimed London's Bush Theatre production), Gretchen Mol ('Boardwalk Empire'), Karen Pittman (Domesticated) and Josh Radnor ('How I Met Your Mother'). In addition to the Pulitzer Prize, DISGRACED has received Obie and Joseph Jefferson Awards. Kimberly Senior, who helmed the two previous US productions, will direct. A developmental reading of The Geranium on the Windowsill Just Died But Teacher You Went Right On, a musical adaptation based on the best-selling book by Albert Cullum, featuring a book and lyrics by Michael Lluberes and music by Jared M. Dembowski, is set for October 20th at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center in New York City.

Eric Rosen, Artistic Director of Kansas City Repertory Theatre, announced that acclaimed director David Cromer will direct a major revival of Tony Kushner's Pulitzer Prize-winning Angels in America as part of KC Rep's 50th anniversary 2014-15 season.

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, announces Northlight's 40th Anniversary Party featuring a performance by Tony Award winner, composer and lyricist Jason Robert Brown. The event, which will also include a cocktail reception, raffle and auction, will be held at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie, on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 7:00pm. Martin Moran's OBIE award-winning play, THE TRICKY PART, will play for one night only, October 19, 2014 at 7:00 PM at TBG Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, 3Rd Floor, NY NY.

Lincoln Center Theater's production of of Sarah Ruhl's new play The Oldest Boy, directed by Rebecca Taichman, begins previews tonight, October 9 and open on Monday, November 3 in the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street).

Working Barn Productions and Bontela Productions will present a six-actor, multimedia look at William Shakespeare's classic tragedy, MACBETH, directed by Peter Richards. MACBETH will preview tonight, October 9 & Friday, October 10 at 8pm and will open on Saturday, October 11 at 8pm and will run through Sunday, November 2 at Edgemar Center for the Arts, 2437 Main Street in Santa Monica.

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) announces this season's Joe A. Callaway Award winners for Direction and Choreography from more than 200 eligible productions in the 2013-2014 New York City theatre season. This year's awards will be presented to John Rando for his direction of The Heir Apparent, produced by Classic Stage Company, and Martha Clarke for her choreography of Cheri, produced by Signature Theatre.

After a successful premiere in The Brick's 2014 Game Play Festival THE UNCANNY VALLEY, written and directed by Francesca Talenti will return to The Brick Theater (579 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn) for a limited two-week run today, October 8-19.

Stages Repertory Theatre will present MARIE ANTOINETTE by David Adjmi, today, October 8 - November 2, 2014. Produced in cooperation with the University of Houston School of Theatre & Dance, the play will be directed by Leslie Swackhamer and stars Emily Neves in the title role.
