San Francisco Ballet's ROMEO AND JULIET Launches Lincoln Center at the Movies' GREAT AMERICAN DANCE Screenings Tonight

Lincoln Center at the Movies, the new cinema series recently announced by Lincoln Center in partnership with Fathom Events, will open in fall 2015 with Great American Dance presenting performances by four of America's leading companies: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Ballet Hispanico, New York City Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet. Each event will be shown in select cinemas nationwide at nearly 400 locations.

Bill Camp, Jim Norton, Tavi Gevinson and More Join Broadway's THE CRUCIBLE; Full Cast, Theater Set!

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Arthur Miller's THE CRUCIBLE will return to Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street) this spring. Bill Camp (as Reverend John Hale), Jim Norton (as Giles Corey), Tavi Gevinson (as Mary Warren), and Jason Butler Harner (as Reverend Samuel Parris) are among those who will join previously announced stars Ben Whishaw (as John Proctor), Sophie Okonedo (as Elizabeth Proctor), Saoirse Ronan (as Abigail Williams), and Ciaran Hinds (as Deputy-Governor Danforth).

Arts & Crafts, Jazz and More Set for Boro-Linc Programs in Staten Island & Queens This Fall

Lincoln Center, the world's largest performing arts center, announces upcoming dates and details for Boro-Linc, a program that presents free family events from Lincoln Center's resident organizations to neighborhoods across New York City through partnerships with cultural and community organizations. The Boro-Linc initiative commenced last year with several Lincoln Center programs at the Casita Maria Center for Arts & Education in the Bronx, and continues this fall with a series in both Staten Island (Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden) and Queens (Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning). The program will continue in the spring in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx; details to be announced at a later date.

Lincoln Center announces an artist update for this weekend's closing Mostly Mozart Festival program this weekend, August 21 and 22. Thomas Cooley will replace Andrew Staples (who was to make his Festival debut) in singing the tenor part of Haydn's The Creation with the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra at Avery Fisher Hall.

John Relyea Replaces Brindley Sherratt in MOSTLY MOZART Closing Concert This Weekend

Lincoln Center announces an artist update for this weekend's closing Mostly Mozart Festival program this weekend, August 21 and 22. John Relyea will replace Brindley Sherratt (who was to make his Festival debut, and has to cancel for personal reasons) in singing the bass part of Haydn's The Creation with the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra at Avery Fisher Hall.

Trusty Sidekick to Bring UP AND AWAY, Show for Kids with Autism, to Lincoln Center This Fall

As part of its 40th anniversary year, Lincoln Center Education (LCE), a global leader in the field of arts education, announces performance dates for world premiere production of UP AND AWAY, an original and commissioned multi-sensory theatrical experience specifically for young audiences on the autism spectrum. Following previews with test audiences earlier this year, New York-based Trusty Sidekick Theater Company will offer 32 performances of UP AND AWAY, from September 29-October 25, at Lincoln Center's intimate Clark Studio Theater with 16 for school groups and 16 open to the general public.

TAO Dance Theater to Perform at Arts Centre Melbourne

Renowned Chinese choreographer Tao Ye's world of minimalist contemporary dance where sublime forces animate bodies will be brought to the Arts Centre Melbourne stage in a co-presentation with Chunky Move of his TAO Dance Theater works on Thursday 6 August and as part of Supersense - Festival of the Ecstatic from 7-8 August. His unique works, 4 and 5, shimmer with striking graphic composition and are freed of narrative and representational confinement in favour of pure imaginative possibility.

Mostly Mozart Festival 2015 Week Three Highlights Announced

The third week of Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival, August 11 through 16, features 11 events comprising orchestral performances, late-night recitals, contemporary music, a lecture, and the U.S. stage premiere ofWritten on Skin, a highly-acclaimed opera by George Benjamin, this summer's Composer-in-Residence and the centerpiece of the Festival's focus on his music.

Presented by the Lincoln Center Festival, on July 8, 2015, at the David H. Koch Theater, The National Ballet of China opened their 5-day run with The Peony Pavilion, considered one of the most famous love stories in Chinese literature. The modern production by the National Ballet of China (NBC) is an adaptation of the 1598 play of the same name, written by Tang Xianzu, which is often compared to Romeo & Juliet, published in nearly the same year.
