Today's big news: It's another big night for off-Broadway, with the London transfer of HERE LIES LOVE, Roundabout's INDIAN INK and MONEY GRUBBIN' WHORES opening, and FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE beginning tonight!

MCC Theater presents the world premiere of MCC Playwright-in-Residence Neil LaBute's new play, The Money Shot, directed by Terry Kinney, extended due to popular demand now through October 19, 2014. The production was originally scheduled to close on October 12, 2014. The Money Shot stars Emmy Award nominee Elizabeth Reaser, Golden Globe nominee Callie Thorne, Frederick Weller and Gia Crovatin. MCC THEATER has announced that film and TV star Douglas Smith, Pico Alexander, Lilly Englert, Lortel Award winner Annie Funke, Five-time Obie winner David Greenspan, Colby Minifie, Will Pullen, and Noah Robbins, will star in the New York premiere of Punk Rock, a new play by Simon Stephens and directed by Trip Cullman. Performances for Punk Rock begin at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on October 29, 2014. For the second production in Theatre for a New Audience's inaugural season at its first permanent home, the new Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place in Brooklyn, Mr. Pennington leads a company of 22 actors. Founded in 1979 by its Artistic Director, Jeffrey Horowitz, Theatre for a New Audience's next act is about to begin with the opening of its Center for Shakespeare and Classical Drama in Brooklyn. The inaugural production is Julie Taymor's staging of A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare with original music by Elliot Goldenthal.
