Based on a short story and unproduced screenplay by Tennessee Williams, One Arm is adapted for the stage and directed by Moisés Kaufman. Award-winning screen and stage actress Maggie Gyllenhaal steps into the role of history's most famous woman scientist for a special reading of Radiance: The Passion of Marie Curie, a new play by actor/writer Alan Alda. Gyllenhaal replaces the previously announced Meryl Streep, who had to bow out due to a sudden and unforeseen scheduling conflict. Through a spokesperson, Streep says she regrets the conflict and that she is 'very disappointed to miss this important and inspiring event.'

Acording to IMDB, stage and screen star Liev Schreiber is set to play boxing legend Chuck Wepner in 'The Bleeder.' Screiber will star alongside Christina Hendricks and Naiomi Watts.

According to the NY Times, Meryl Streep, Amy Adams, Allison Janney, Liev Schreiber, David Morse and Bill Camp are all set to star in a reading of Alan Alda's new play RADIANCE: THE PASSION OF MARIE CURIE at the World Science Festival. The event will take place on June 1 at Alice Tully Hall.
