Syfy to Premiere ROBOT COMBAT LEAGUE on 2/26

Syfy launches the next generation of arena combat when 12 state-of-the-art robots and 24 courageous contestants enter the ring in the hotly-anticipated new competition series, Robot Combat League, premiering Tuesday, February 26 at 10PM ET/PT. Each week, Robot Combat League, hosted by Chris Jericho, the wildly popular WWE superstar, features tournament-style battles between eight-foot tall humanoid robots controlled by a human fighter ("robo-jockey") and an engineer ("robo-tech"). Robot Combat League is produced by Smart Dog Media, with Craig Plestis serving as executive producer.

Ten Years After: Remembering Circle Players' ASSASSINS and 9/11

In the days that followed the 9/11 attacks, Circle leaders and members of the Assassins production team were forced to consider closing the show (included in Sondheim's musical is the character of Samuel Byck, an unsuccessful presidential assassin who talks vividly about flying an airplane into the White House to kill President Richard Nixon in 1968. As Circle leaders discussed whether to shutter the show for a weekend, or to cancel the remaining three weeks of the show's run, the show's cast members debated whether or not they could justify to themselves, their friends and their families their own decision to continue with the show in the days just after the deadliest attack ever on American soil.

Directed and choreographed by Tony®Award-winner Bill T. Jones, FELA! opened in LonDon Starring Sahr Ngaujah, who originated the role and currently appears in the Broadway production. Kevin Mambo, who shares the role with Mr. Ngaujah in NYC, will also join the otherwise all-British cast for a limited run. The Broadway production will continue its open-ended run.
