Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS has announced the exciting news that Broadway star, Tony, Grammy and Golden Globe Award winner, and long-time BC/EFA friend and Trustee Bernadette Peters will perform a special one night only concert 'Bernadette Peters: A Special Concert for Broadway Barks Because Broadway Cares' on Monday, November 9 at 8 PM at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre (1515 Broadway).

Wallach Artist-in-Residence when he joins the Orchestra, led by Neeme Järvi, for performances of Zemlinsky's Lyric Symphony, Thursday, November 5, 2009, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, November 6, at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, November 7, at 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, November 10, at 7:30 p.m.

Leonard Bernstein's seldom-performed 'MASS' will be presented at Northwestern University's Cahn Auditorium for five public performances. Subtitled 'A Theatre Piece for Singers, Players, and Dancers,' the production of the controversial work fusing sacred and secular music will feature 200 performers.

Peters will discuss her upcoming performance at the Minskoff Theatre on November 9th. The concert will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS as well as Broadway Barks. The show will air on ABC (channel 7) in the NYC area from 9:00am to 10:00am EST.

SEATTLE CELEBRATES BERNSTEIN, a Seattle based festival to celebrate the life and works of acclaimed composer Leonard Bernstein, has announced their full schedule for the 2010 season. The festival will be held April, 2010 through June, 2010 and will include performances of On the Town and Candide at the 5th Avenue Theatre. In addition, lyricist/director Martin Charnin will host a talk entitled 'WEST SIDE STORY Stories - Memories of Lenny,' where he will discuss his memories of the famed composer.
