"Dancing with the Stars" is back, and for the first time ever the show will premiere with a massive opening number featuring all pro dancers as they perform live with musical guest Jason Derulo.
Paul Lee, president, ABC Entertainment Group, today announced premiere dates for the new drama series “Black Box” on THURSDAY, APRIL 24 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), along with a new season of “Dancing with the Stars” on MONDAY, MARCH 17

Six remaining couples hit the ballroom floor and take on an exciting trio performance, on “Dancing with the Stars,” MONDAY, NOVEMBER 11 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET). The couples will compete in two rounds of dance. In the first round, each couple will take on an individual dance in a style they have not previously performed including the Viennese Waltz, Tango, Charleston, Argentine Tango and Quickstep. In the second round, the couples take on a new challenge and dance with an eliminated pro or troupe member as part of dynamic trio. The trio dance routine will be in a style the celebrity has not yet performed including the Samba, Jive, Salsa, Paso Doble and Jazz. At the end of the night, one couple will face elimination.

The night will begin with a spectacular opening number choreographed by Emmy Nominated choreographer, Mandy Moore. The competition will then be split into two rounds. In the first round, each couple will take on a dance style they have not previously performed including the Salsa, Quickstep, Samba, Cha Cha, Paso Doble, and Jive. In the second round, the cast will dance together in two separate teams, with each couple having a featured solo. At the end of the night, one couple will face elimination.

One by one, the judges will select couples to be tapped-off/removed from the dance floor. Extra judges' points will be awarded to couples based on longevity. The show will also feature a spectacular opening number with the entire cast, choreographed by Lacey and Benji Schwimmer. Additionally, musical guest Ariana Grande and Mika will perform their hit duet “Popular.” At the end of the night, one couple will face elimination.
