With a book by Itamar Moses, music and lyrics by Michael Friedman, and conceived and directed by Daniel Aukin, The Fortress of Solitude began previews on Tuesday, September 30 and was officially scheduled to close on Sunday, November 2. It will now run an additional two weeks through Sunday, November 16.

There has been buzz about the Public's starry INTO THE WOODS making the transition from Shakespeare in the Park to Broadway, as HAIR and THE MERCHANT OF VENICE did in recent seasons, but today producer Joey Parnes tells the New York Times that due to scheduling conflicts, the production will not transfer.
Signature Theatre has announced that casting is confirmed and tickets are now on sale for THE DANCE AND THE RAILROAD written by David Henry Hwang and directed by May Adrales. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access. The production runs February 5 through March 17, 2013 with a February 25 opening night in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).
