Tony Award winners Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik will be teaming up again on the new musical NERO. Just like with their hit Spring Awakening, Sater will be writing the book and lyrics and Sheik will be writing the music.

Spring Awakening star Lea Michele will making her Hollywood debut at Upright Cabaret in Mark's Restaurant (861 N. La Cienega Blvd) on August 15th, 2008. Michele will be staying in Hollywood after the concert to perform in the Les Miserables concert at the Hollywood Bowl. The concert will be directed by Richard Jay-Alexander (who also will be directing the Les Mis concert) with musical direction by Ben Toth. Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) will host Broadway Karaoke on Monday, May 5th at Arena (135 West 41st Street). Come see some of Broadway's hottest performers - uncensored and unrehearsed like you've never seen them before! The evening begins with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in Midtown's hottest nightclub, Arena. Next Seth Rudetsky hosts incredible off-the-cuff performances by some of the brightest stars on Broadway! Finally, the audience can get into the act with an hour of open mic karaoke! All proceeds will go to the Education Programs of Roundabout Theatre Company, one of the country's top not-for-profit theatres. Broadway Karaoke will begin at 6:00PM with an open bar and hors d'oeuvres. The Broadway Karaoke performances kick off at 7:00PM followed by open mic at 8:00PM. The event concludes at 9:00PM.
