Tonight's NERDS Concert at 54 Below with Wesley Taylor, Lauren Molina & More Sells Out

The concert version of NERDS, a new Broadway-bound musical, tonight, Wednesday, June 11 at 54 Below, 254 W. 54th Street, is now sold out. The concert will feature a cast of Broadway favorites, including Theater World Award winner Wesley Taylor ("Smash," Rock of Ages), Helen Hayes Award winner Lauren Molina (Candide, Sweeney Todd), Charlie Pollock (Violet, Love's Labour's Lost), Laura Dreyfuss (Once, Hair).

This year the Lilly Awards will celebrate women of distinction in musical theater in a special cabaret at West Bank Cafe (407 W 42nd Street, NYC), following the awards ceremony, which is set for Monday, June 2, at Playwrights Horizons. The cabaret will feature Kelli O'Hara, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Rebecca Luker, Kate Baldwin, Kenita Miller, The Broadway Boys, Graham Rowat, Katie Thompson, Lauren Pritchard, Taylor Noble, Jay Armstrong Jonson, The Skivvies (Lauren Molina & Nick Cearley) and Jason Robert Brown.

The 'musically thrilling' undie-rock, comedy-pop duo don't just strip down their musical arrangements, they literally strip down to their underwear to perform their distinctive mashups and eccentric originals for cello and ukulele, with touches of glockenspiel, melodica, and a surprising array of under-used instruments. Huntington's Spotlight Spectacular Raises Over $980,000

Spectacular Broadway entertainment and more than 400 guests celebrated Wimberly Award recipients Huntington Trustee John D. Spooner and Tony Award-winning director Mary Zimmerman (The Jungle Book and Candide) while raising more than $980,000 (with additional gifts still coming in) to support the Huntington's renowned education and community programs at the Huntington Theatre Company's Spotlight Spectacular last Monday, April 28. 'Transforming lives,' said Managing Director Michael Maso. 'That's why we are here - to ensure another year of access to the Huntington's programs for thousands of young people.' The total raised also includes proceeds from an online auction that closed Friday evening, May 2.
