Beginning Tuesday, March 27, Matthew Risch will be playing the role of Trip Wyeth replacing Justin Kirk, who will play his last performance this Sunday, March 25. He will be joining Stacy Keach, Judith Light, Elizabeth Marvel and Lauren Klein, who is playing the role of Polly Wyeth until Thursday, April 5. Stockard Channing will return to the role of Polly Wyeth on Friday, April 6.

As BroadwayWorld.com previously reported, the Tony-winning star of OTHER DESERT CITIES, Stockard Channing took leave from the production on November 18 to undergo arthoscopic knee surgery on November 21. Lauren Klein has been performing the role of 'Polly' while Channing recovers.

BroadwayWorld.com has learned that the Tony-winning star of OTHER DESERT CITIES, Stockard Channing is taking a leave from the production to undergo arthoscopic knee surgery on November 21.
A production spokesperson has confirmed that her understudy, Lauren Klein, will perform the role of 'Polly' while Channing recovers. She is expected to return to the production later this week.

The Fall theatre season in the DC area is in full bloom. As the leaves are turning, there is a colorful group of shows opening this month. There are so many, so where do I begin? Here are shows that I am looking forward to seeing, and remember I am a musical theatre lover who likes to sprinkle in a play or two - here and there - so don't get mad if I don't choose one of the plays you are looking forward to seeing. DIRTY DANCING Set To Play Pantages Theater 5/10-6/28

The West Coast premiere of the international stage hit DIRTY DANCING - The Classic Story On Stage will play the Pantages Theatre for a limited engagement, opening Sunday May 10 and running seven weeks through June 28.
There are three lower-priced previews on Friday, May 8 at 8p and Saturday, May 9 at 2PM& 8P. The official press opening is Sunday, May 10 at 6P.
