New Off-Broadway Musical HELL'S BELLES Welcomes Two to Cast

Tweiss Productions and Nicholas James Opalenik/Event Horizon Productions are proud to welcome Michael Kirk Lane (MAC Award nominee; Now You Know) and Liz Shivener (NYC: The Underclassman, National Tours: Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Shrek) as they join the cast of Hell's Belles.

Leys and music by Steve Liebman. Hell's Belles began performances at The Elektra Theatre at The Times Square Arts Center (300 West 43rd Street) on October 3 for a limited run through December 27, 2015. The show features direction by John Znidarsic, music direction by Mary Feinsinger, and musical staging by Eugenio Contenti.   Tickets are $39, $69, $99 and can be purchased by visiting HellsBellesTheMusical.com or by calling 866.811.4111. Hell's Belles has a book and lyrics by Bryan D. Leys and music by Steve Liebman. LADY AND THE VAMP Set for Laurie Beechman Theatre, 5/4

'Lady and the Vamp' celebrates female musical theatre songwriters. This concert showcases today's female composers and lyricists, with the goal of visibility and gender equality in musical theatre. These ladies are 'breaking the glissando ceiling' in an evening of wine, women, and song.

Abingdon Theatre Company presents a concert reading of MERTON OF THE MOVIES -- an uproarious new musical comedy set in the rollicking age of Keystone Cops, Harold Lloyd, Charlie Chaplin, and Buster Keaton -- with book by Donald Brenner, music and lyrics by Doug Katsaros, on Monday, December 8 at 7pm at the June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street) in Manhattan. Donald Brenner, whose directorial credits include MARCH MADNESS and the upcoming MALLORCA at Abingdon, will direct.

Andy Monroe and Amanda Yesnowitz Headline NYTB's New Works Series, 7/21

The July installment of New York Theatre Barn's New Works Series features selections from new musicals written by Andy Monroe (The Kid) and Amanda Yesnowitz (the Broadway bound Somehwere in Time), on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 7:30pm at the Daryl Roth Theatre's D-Lounge. The monthly New Works Series, now in its 7th year at the Daryl Roth Theatre, is the core of New York Theatre Barn's new work development process for emerging writers and new musicals.
