Imelda Staunton just finished her run as 'Mama Rose' in Chichester Festival Theatre's production of Jule Styne and Stephen Sondheim's GYPSY. This evening, the Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye wrote an update on the musical's West End negotiations -- GYPSY is now eyeing a spring slot (late March) at the Savoy.

Whately would play Herbie, Rose's love interest and manager, and Pulver would star as Louise Hovick, a.k.a. Gypsy Rose Lee. The production will be directed by Jonathan Kent.
