The Color Purple begins preview performances this coming Tuesday, November 10 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th street). Grammy, Academy Award, and Golden Globe award winner JENNIFER HUDSON will make her Broadway debut opposite CYNTHIA ERIVO, the breakout star of John Doyle's acclaimed Menier Chocolate Factory production, and Orange is the New Black's DANIELLE BROOKS, in this fall's highly anticipated production. All three women will be making their Broadway debuts.

THE COLOR PURPLE producer Oprah stopped by a recent rehearsal for the show's upcoming Broadway run and joined in on a song after hugging some of the cast members, among them Danille Brooks, Jennifer Hudson and Cynthia Erivo. Check out a clip from the surprise visit below!

Producers Scott Sanders Productions, Roy Furman, Oprah Winfrey, David Babani, and Tom Siracusa just announced complete casting for this fall's highly anticipated production of THE COLOR PURPLE, directed by Tony Award winner John Doyle.

The box office for the highly anticipated production of THE COLOR PURPLE will open on Tuesday, October 6 at 10:00am at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th street). 

Just last night, Tony Award-nominee Montego Glover and Alex Finke and Alfie Boe joined the company of  Claude-Michel Schonberg & Alain Boublil's Les Miserables on Broadway. Glover succeeds Erika Henningsen as Fantine, while Finke (making her Broadway debut) replaces original cast member Samantha Hill. Boe takes over for Tony Award nominee Ramin Karimloo as Jean Valjean. For tonight's (August 26th) 7:30pm concert at Joe's Pub, Zoe Sarnak will be joined by Whitney Bashor (The Bridges of Madison County), Lilli Cooper (The Threepenny Opera) Laura Dreyfuss (Glee), Meghann Fahy (Next to Normal) Jay Armstrong Johnson (On the Town), Taylor Noble, Lauren Pritchard (Spring Awakening), Kyle Scatliffe (Les Miserables), Kacie Sheik (Hair), Josh Tolle and Gabe Violett.

The winner of this year's Davenport Songwriting Contest, Zoe Sarnak writes music that crosses genres, blending pop, rock, hip hop and soul. Her music has been featured by The Lilly Awards, New York Musical Theatre Festival and more, and in venues from Playwrights Horizons and New York Theatre Workshop to 54 Below and the Highline Ballroom.
