They've Got Magic to Do! Kyle Dean Massey and Ciara Renée to Join Cast of PIPPIN on April 1

The producers of the Tony Award winning PIPPIN just announced that Kyle Dean Massey (Next to Normal, Wicked) and Ciara Renee (Big Fish) will assume the roles of "Pippin" and "Leading Player" (respectively) in the production beginning Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Matthew James Thomas and Tony Award winner Patina Miller will play their final performance on Sunday, March 30, 2014. PIPPIN is now playing at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).

WICKED Sets New Broadway Record With $3.2 Million Gross in One Week

Having recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary on Broadway, the blockbuster musical WICKED continues to defy gravity, setting a new Broadway record for the highest one-week gross with a box office take of $3,201,333, for the week ending December 29, 2013. The first and only Broadway musical to gross over $3 million in one week, WICKED has broken the previous record, $2,947,142, which it also held (week ending December 30, 2012), and which had earlier been held by Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark, with a gross of $2,941,794 (week ending January 1, 2012).

Anti-Bullying Film CONTEST Comes to DVD Today

Arc Entertainment will be releasing CONEST on DVD today, December 17, 2013. CONTEST premiered on Cartoon Network on October 6th in conjunction with National Bullying Prevention Month in order to inspire an open discussion between kids, parents and educators about the issue of bullying.

10 Years of Oz: A WICKED Anniversary Countdown- Fiyero Flashback!

On Wednesday, October 30th, the blockbuster musical, WICKED, will celebrate its 10th Anniversary on Broadway, a milestone achieved by only ten other Broadway productions in history. The creative team and many of the musical's previous cast members will celebrate WICKED's first decade with a special performance, followed by a company party, on October 30th at 7:00pm. BroadwayWorld will be counting down to the milestone with daily flashbacks of Wicked's biggest events, most memorable cast members, and best performances.
