To add to the festivities leading up to the Tony Awards, the free outdoor concert in the heart of the Theatre District celebrated Broadway with star appearances and exciting performances from over 20 new shows and long-running favorites, accompanied by a live 12-piece orchestra.

Just last night, May 19, Broadway stars turned out for a special performance of Terrence McNally's Tony-nominated new play Mothers and Sons, benefitting the Actors Fund. Saturday night, May 3rd, after Kristin Chenoweth wowed 'em at Carnegie Hall, the star's family, friends and guests were invited to a very intimate party at New York's Palace Hotel. The famed property threw Ms. Chenoweth the congratulatory party with the Palace Hotel's Timothy Kirkpatrick, Bebhinn Gallen, Lauren Rebholz and friend Angelique O'Neil, who worked tirelessly to make her special night even more special.

Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, just gave an added performance to benefit The Actors Fund last night, April 27 at 8:00 PM. The company of Beautiful donated their time and talent for the performance, for an audience which included cast members from current Broadway shows and other areas of the entertainment community. For the month of April, performers can submit their song or monologue videos on Stagelighter.com to a panel of six Broadway casting directors for free. Panelists will nominate videos into a final round which will be posted on Stagelighter's Facebook page and one performer chosen by the public will win round trip airfare to New York City, private meetings with each of the six casting directors, tickets to a Broadway show plus a backstage tour.
