You can't stop the beat in the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's big and bold Broadway blockbuster about one girl's inspiring dream to dance! Onstage January 9 through 28, the smash hit musical Hairspray kicks off the New Year at the Theatre. The musical takes place in 1962 Baltimore, where Tracy Turnblad a girl with big hair and an even bigger heart is on a mission to dance her way onto national TV. When her dream comes true on the Corny Collins Show, Tracy transforms from social outcast to teen superstar and sets out to integrate the show.

Pioneer Theatre Company has added four performances, including an ASL (American Sign Language) performance, to its traditional performance schedule for NEWSIES. Evening performances (7:00 p.m.) have been added for December 18 through 20.

Pioneer Theatre Company has managed to successfully reinvent NEWSIES while at the same time recreating the excitement and quality of the original production.

It was a reunion for two of the lead actors from Broadway's On the Town when Tony-nominee Tony Yazbeck visited New Hope, PA to see Clyde Alves at Bucks County Playhouse. Alves plays the role of Tago in the world premiere of The New World , the musical comedy that is getting raves from critics. Pilgrims wash ashore in Massachusetts - turning North American life on its ear - in the world premiere production of the new musical comedy, 'The New World.' Performances begin tonight, November 7, and run through December 2, with an official opening on November 11 at 7:30 pm.

Pittsburgh Public Theater begins its 43rd season with Peter Shaffer's sensational drama, Equus. The play is directed by Pittsburgh Public Theater's Producing Artistic Director, Ted Pappas, as part of his Grand Finale Season. Mr. Pappas will leave the company in August, 2018.
