Rhydian Roberts to Star in GREASE UK Tour

Blonde baritone Rhydian Roberts will bring some added X Factor to Grease when he joins the smash hit musical to guest star as ‘Teen Angel' for a limited 6 week season later this year. The singing sensation will leave audiences hopelessly devoted to his charms when Grease rocks into Blackpool (17- 22 October), Sunderland (24 October- 5 November), Liverpool (8- 19 November) and Norwich (22 November-3 December) where he will play 1 week only of the show's 2 week run at the Theatre Royal.

UMBRELLAS OF CHERBOURG to Close Early on May 21

The Kneehigh Theatre Company will close its West End production of THE UMBRELLAS OF CHERBOURG on May 21 instead of the previously announced October 1 closing. The show opened at the Gielgud Theatre on March 22. Directed by Emma Rice, with lyrics translated by Sheldon Harnick, designs by Lez Brotherston, lighting by Malcolm Rippeth, sound by Simon Baker and musical supervision by Nigel Lilley, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg is produced in the West End by Daniel Sparrow and Mike Walsh Productions, Curve Leicester and City Lights International in association with BE MY Productions.

Gloria Estefan Joins Harry Connick Jr. as Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame Inductee

The Hollywood Bowl launches its 90th season with the 2011 edition of the Opening Night at the Hollywood Bowl and Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame Concert, Friday, June 17, at 8:30 p.m. Grammy and Emmy award-winning singer/musician/actor Harry Connick, Jr., and seven-time Grammy award-winning pop music superstar Gloria Estefan will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.

Kneehigh will return to the West End with a new adaptation of Michel Legrand's The Umbrellas of Cherbourg following their 2008 production of Brief Encounter which enjoyed a sell-out season at the Haymarket Cinema and has subsequently toured nationally and internationally.

Take a look at Sir Andre Previn's heavy touring schedule, and it's clear that he is a celebrated classical pianist and conductor, touring some of the world's best venues and performing with top orchestras. But at the Blue Note, Previn will make a rare detour to another facet of his illustrious career - the jazz piano side - of which recordings with the likes of Dinah Shore and Ella Fitzgerald represent the tip of the iceberg. In addition to his ten Grammy awards, Previn has also won four Academy Awards for his film scores. In 2010, Previn was awarded with the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and was the subject of a documentary aptly titled A Bridge Between Two Worlds. Previn is one of the most versatile musicians to perform at the Blue Note, which is undoubtedly the most intimate venue he plays worldwide. From February 7 - 9, Previn will be joined by celebrated bassist David Finck.
